Reader Nick has noticed that there was a cool video that was shown during Nintendo of Japan’s Media Summit that we haven’t posted yet. I would imagine that the lite and original NDS can support all these games. But I reckon as the sales of the NDSi increases to a reasonable amount, they will discontinue the sales of the Lite. Hopefully for the reason of improvement on the dual screens on the NDSi since the pixels on screen of the Lite and original are quite big.

Since the new DS1 does not support GameBoy games….does anyone know if you can play the Guitar Hero DS game with the new DS1 since the Guitar Hero game uses the GameBoy slot for the selector buttons??

all the ds games(except for ones that NEED the gba slot to run) are playable on the DSI.

@Brent: I agree with you, but misspelling pathetic is pretty lame, considering that you’re insulting his intelligence as well.
In general, the screens did appear slightly clearer, from what I could see in the video, and those graphics seemed far more fluid than any of the 3D games for the first two DS’s.
But we have to wait until April

I’ve already gotten mine… my uncle is an engineer for nintendo company, so he gets one of the first few ones made. Mine is blue and it has Hello Kitty on it!

Max, stop wasting space you retarded troll.
I just got mine and it definitely has more pros but the cons are quite heavy. It doesn’t support r4s and the internet needs a lot of work (like its own flashplayer gr.) Overall, it’s quite fun but I’m definitely waiting for better dsi oriented games (mainly ones utilizing the camera).

If anyone is wondering, the Nintendo DSi system plays all of the DS games, excluding the ones that required the GBA slot, (such as guitar hero on tour) there are not yet any “DSi only” game in north America
