  4. Monica Says:

I heard that nintendo is making the dsi region locked, so i think it would be best to wait til the U.S version is out.

  5. javia Says:

  6. Roland Says:

monica u can play american and japan games on it only thing thats region locked is the dsi shop

  7. Joseph Says:

  10. Nekomaru Says:

I would’ve waited for the US release of the DSi, but ever since I heard that nintendo “Region Locked” the dumb thing, I now feel that I’ll to import it, since I import most my games anyway.

On second thought, I might not get one at all. at $300, I might as well buy an iPhone.

  11. Isabelle Says:

My brother who is seven years old got a DSI for an early Christmas present for less than $300. It’s so cool!!! Visit my blog at blogs.saschina.org/isabelle01pd2016

  12. Adam Says:

I was lucky enough to have a friend heading over there during release week, so I just gave him what it cost in Japan. I can confirm that you can access the Japanese DSiWare store internationally, but you require a Club Nintendo ID - which is a nightmare to sign up for if you’re not a Japanese speaker. It can be done, anyway!

I’m hopeful about a cross-region firmware update, a little later on, though it’ll probably involve a little hacking. I doubt there will be any difference in hardware when the European and US versions are released, so it ought to be doable.

  13. WiiMAN Says:

Im only 16 years old so im not importing it. but as soon as it comes to America ILL HAVE IT!!!! besides… its region locked. that kinda stank

  14. javia Says:

  19. Bobby Says:

my real name isnt bobby. it is … I couldnt rite it im because of america is so corrupt.

  20. Waiyi Says:

i cant believe they finally put the camera on. i remember when the first ds was supposed to have the camera and then everyone thought the lite would but they finally did it

  27. lawrence Says:

Hey I have the new DSI - anyone know how to change the language to English ?

  28. Tashi Says:

I’m going to wait for the release here (UK/European). I can’t read or speak Japanese, won’t be able by any means (would take years, Japanese is a very complex language, by which time I could buy a European DSi (actually the DSi would be long redundant by then)).
I also am not into hacking, I’d probably break it. Plus, isn’t the Japanese DSWare shop going to be in Japanese?!

  29. Senio Says:

if you import it from japan will the lanquage be japanese or can u change it

  30. camren Says:

  33. Jen Says:

i really hope they will have more colors than black and white…cause i already have a white ds lite and dont feel like getting another white… black is not my style :( i wonder when they gonna released other color like pink or something hopefully it wont take that long

  34. ex Says:

dam nintendo. i thought they were cool enough to not region lock their portable consoles . i have to wait till end of 2009 before NZ gets it. its the worse console for them to start the region locking on because the release dates are so spread apart. i guess it can easily be hacked with a sd card slot made in the dsi, but still i would prefer not having to get it hacked. its a last resort if i cant wait

  35. valeria Says:

    whatt region blocked?
that sucks i want a ds, i was thinking of getting one but since this one is coming out i’ll just waitt. D:

  36. kevin Says:

  38. Free DSi Says:

This is one hell of a price for something that if you just wait you can get it for half the price.
Guess some people are just keen.
    :)

  39. CAGS23 Says:

L button problems can be fixed by blowing air in the button it happend to me hope it works and the DSI is out april 5th

  40. amanda Says:
